Hello World!
A little programmer humor there. In case you aren't aware a lot of
the first lessons in computer programming are focused on teaching a
person that has never done any coding at all, to get their very first
program to print the words Hello World on the screen. It is generally
pretty simple to do in most coding languages and gives the newbie a
sense of accomplishment. I figured that was appropriate here because I
have never done any real blogging in the past and thought it would be a
good place to start. This is my first post but will definitely not be
my last. For quite some time now I have considered keeping an online
journal but have never been committed enough to the idea to see it
through. I have often been told by those close to me that I have a lot
of truly valuable insights about life when I can be coerced into taking
the time to talk about them. I spend a lot of time thinking and not all
that much time sharing what it is that I think. This should be a good
first step in maybe changing that. I truly believe that we are each
fully responsible for our surroundings. When I look around me at the
world, I do not like what I see and I believe that I can change it.
Maybe I can't do it directly and maybe not quickly but bit by bit it can
happen. I can change things, by exerting the influence of my ideas and
beliefs until they are not just inside me but a part of my immediate
circle of people that I associate with. And then we can take those
things to our local community and then our local community can take it
to the world.
